Sense of Synergy Candles

Sense of Synergy candles are created using a 100% plant based blend of Coconut and Soy waxes made in the UK. In the spirit of nature, these candles also come with wooden wicks made from sappy fruit trees. Burning them creates a magical atmosphere, as wooden wicks make soothing crackling sounds which are reminiscent of a warm cosy fireplace.

How are the Sense of Synergy candles different from any other candles?

Most candle makers use pre-made scented oil blends and add them to their candles, which means they don’t actually design scents for their products. The scents in SoS candles are entirely unique compositions, each created carefully and with a vision by myself.

Wooden wicks make sounds and this is normal. It's what makes them special!

Wooden wicks release tiny 'smokes'. Again, this is normal. Rest assured that this is not black smoke. As the cellulose particles in the wick turn into gas they become trapped in the pores of the wood. With the temperature of the wick rising, the gas eventually escapes and that's what creates the lovely popping sound as well as the 'smokes' that we may see.

Wooden wicks are a natural material which means they may not always burn exactly the same, so don't worry if two candles don't burn identically. If the flame is low, blow out the candle, trim the wick and re-light it again.

After your candle has cooled, you may notice white marks on the top. DON'T BE ALARMED! THIS IS COMPLETELY NORMAL. What you see as these frosty marks is actually a beautiful result of a natural process of soy wax cooling down and getting in contact with the temperature of the room. When this happens, tiny soy crystals start to form on the surface. This does not make a difference in how well the candle burns.

After each burn, trim the wick to no more than 5 mm. If you don't, the candle may not burn properly. You can do this with special wood wick scissors or by gently snapping the burnt bit of the wick with your fingers. REMEMBER - DO THIS WHEN YOUR CANDLE HAS COOLED DOWN!
